My name is Vishal M. I'm a Cloud-native DevOps Engineer and a tech blogger. As an undergraduate CSE student, I bring a fresh perspective and a passion for learning and innovation. I specialize in automating, configuring, and deploying applications on cloud environments, utilizing tools like GitOps, CI/CD pipeline, and Hashicorp Terraform. With proficiency in AWS services and Linux/Unix administration, I ensure optimal system performance and provide infrastructure support. I'm well-versed in DevOps tools like Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Prometheus. Beyond my technical skills, I have a strong work ethic, am a self-starter, and enjoy collaborating as part of a team.

EKSpress: Infrastructure Deployment for WordPress Application using Amazon EKS and Terraform Automation
January 2023

Designed and deployed a highly scalable and fault-tolerant Kubernetes cluster on Amazon AWS using EKS, integrated with EC2, ELB, EFS, and VPC. Deployed WordPress and MySQL with auto-scaling and persistent storage using EFS.
Automated infrastructure deployment with Terraform, integrated Prometheus and Grafana using Helm to monitor the setup and launched a web application with a load balancer on EKS Cluster. Achieved high availability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness by using Kubernetes services on the Cloud.

TerraSite: Seamless Static Website Deployment on AWS using Terraform and Cloudfront
February 2023

Successfully implemented static web page hosting project using Amazon AWS EC2, EBS, S3, and Cloudfront technologies
Demonstrated proficiency in creating and configuring private keys and security groups, launching EC2 instances and EBS volumes, deploying code from a GitHub repository, creating and managing S3 buckets, and setting up Cloudfront distributions.

Ingressit: Kubernetes-Enabled Reddit Clone Deployment with Ingress Integration
May 2023

Successfully deployed a Reddit copy on Kubernetes, leveraging deployments, services, and Ingress to enable scalable and resilient application deployment.
Configured and implemented Ingress for external access to the application, utilizing NGINX Ingress Controller and DNS configuration to route traffic and enable seamless user experience.

DataFlowXpress: Streamlined Data Pipelines for Modern Analytics
July 2023

Led the implementation of a powerful serverless data pipeline on AWS, leveraging S3, Glue, Lambda, and CloudWatch services.
Orchestrated end-to-end data processing with Python 3.9 Lambda functions triggering Glue crawlers, efficient storage in S3, and data transformation through Spark and Python-based Glue jobs.

Dockube: Efficient Deployment and Scaling of Web App with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS
October 2022

Set up and managed Docker container for application into Kubernetes Pods. Implemented Network and Services with Host IP allocation on AWS EC2 and Route53.
Primed Deployment, Replication, and Auto Scaling for the Kubernetes cluster to reduce the downtime by 75%.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Doing a Research project as part of my Capstone in 5th semester.
Won 1st prize among the top 100 teams for designing a GUI in Figma by analyzing and researching issues faced by farmers, managed multiple initiatives to deliver the optimized features to resolve.
Completed AWS and Jenkins beginner certification from KodeKloud.
Selected as a member of Innovation Student Council at PES University based on high-achieving and technically strong undergraduate students.
